New Year’s Day - Annual Birch Bay Polar Bear Swim (See 2008 in Tide Catcher Blog!)
Come be part of a tradition at Birch Bay's 21st Annual Polar Bear Swim on New Years Day! There are lots of prizes and fun. This event is sponsored by the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Annual "Wings Over Water" Northwest Birding Festival

Plover Foot Ferry Season Begins - Labor Day weekend marks the beginning of riding the Plover Foot Ferry from Blaine to Semiahmoo.

Plover Days - MV Plover and the Drayton Harbor Maritime Society have a weekend of fun on the waterfront in Blaine.

Peace Arch Anniversary Celebration

DECEMBER
3rd Annual Ring of Fire & Hope - Sponsored by Mike Kent & Windermere Real Estate and Co-Sponsored by the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce, this annual event has people lining Birch Bay shoreline with flares and candles to mark the begriming of a new year of hope.

  • Visit White Rock, BC, with their waterfront railroad museum and delightful restaurants.
  • Mountain skiing and snow boarding at Mt. Baker in WA, and Grouse Mounting in BC,
  • Great theatrical shows at Bellingham's own Mt. Baker Theatre.
  • Visit Blaine's Peace Arch State Park with their international sculpture exhibit.
